MOOC Cafe Open Education

MOOC Cafe: October 3 - November 7 | in-depth Workshop October 24 | TU Delft Teaching Lab 

Learn from the best international professionals involved in Open Education. Starting 1 October the godfathers of Open Education David Wiley and George Siemens will offer a 6-week MOOC covering all elements in Open Education. You are welcome to join us in the Teaching lab, (Building 32A), where you can enjoy good coffee/tea, study each weekly topic in the MOOC and discuss what you’ve learned with your colleagues. On October 24 we will offer an in-depth workshop where we will eplore more deeply how you can apply the topics discussed in the MOOC in your course.

You can study the MOOC in the Teaching Lab whenever you want, but we will be available to join you on the following dates (topics discussed in the MOOC are added) 

  • Oct 3rd 09:00-11:00 – MOOC Café “Why Open Matters"
  • Oct 10th 09:00-11:00 – MOOC Café “Copyright, The Public Domain, and The Commons”
  • Oct 17th 09:00-11:00 – MOOC Café “The 5R Activities and the Creative Commons Licenses”
  • Oct 24th 09:00-12:00 – MOOC Café “Creating, Finding, and Using OER”
    • 10:00 - 12:00 - Indepth Workshop “Using  existing resources in your course”
  • Oct 31st 09:00-11:00 – MOOC Café “Research on the Impact of OER Adoption”
  • Nov 7th 09:00-11:00 – MOOC Café “The Next Battles for Openness: Data, Algorithms, and Competency Mapping”

Studying the MOOC is optional. Plus, it’s up to you how often you drop by.
